Alumni-weekend on YMCA-campus

The annual meeting of alumni took place on the 29.-31. of January. A review by Markus Schneider, an alumnus of the 76. class, full-time course of study.

The meeting feels like coming home to mummy. Memories of good old times are back immediately. You stroll through the class-rooms and they tell you the old stories. And then there are the old sisters and brothers, you have studied/learned and lived with. And several aunts and uncles, who have dropped in sporadically, only they were "too far away" for you at that time. But mummy has changed a whole lot. New cut, new gear, and now that university is here, it seems she has a new dude also. But he seems to be alright, brought his own kids with him, into the family. So far for family-analogy. Ok., there are some alumni, who love to come back to their alma mater. And watch closely what happens there - with eyes wide open. But who-the-more enjoy to come back once a year, to see what has happened on the holy mountain. This year it was especially exciting, changes are so numerous, like never before! And the new species of university-students - you would like to get to know also. Eased up you notice, that some things are still like as they used to be, not only when Mrs. Heinemann (former-secretary-grandee) dropped in to the member-meetings. Also there are still birthday-parties and terrific, creative students, who, besides their daily study efforts, labour for us alumni. So, reminiscing of the good old days- one can add some more good memories for 2010. I keep this meeting in good rememberance.
