Target Group: Whom is this study for?
This study is directed to people - who along with family and job - want to further qualify themselves for a work in the field of christian education (community-pedagogics), e.g. christian youth work, and thus achieve the first academic degree "Bachelor of Arts".
The B.A. opens up access to higher qualification at universities, respectively to other certified ways of occupational training.

Youth work, extracurricular religious- and community pedagogics, evangelistic practice, councelling and mentoring.
Overall structure: How will the program be organized (time commitment, etc.,...)?
This B.A.-study consists of the so-called "Credit Point System": 1 CP is the measure for 30 hours work load. The BA comprises 180 CP = 5.400 hours (= workload) apportioned on 4years:
- as "on-campus-phases" = beeing on campus of the YMCA-University in Kassel, Germany, ca. 4 weeks per year, or
- as "Own-Working-Time" or "Group-Working-Time" on the learning platform "Moodle" (individual planning of time). Work load translates to ca. 20 hours per week.
Generally the duration of this study is 4 years (8 semesters). It is recommended to down-size occupational working time.
How will phases of practice be credited?
Part of the program are internships. If your job is already close to this study, your working time can be credited as " supervised practice", if your occupational practice can be critically reflected with a subject-qualified mentor, on a theoretical basis.
